By accessing or using the firm portal, booking system, or any authenticated area of kmcintyre.com.au (collectively, the “Portal”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use together with our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Portal. These Terms do not apply to browsing the public pages of the Site (which require no agreement to use).
The Portal is a secure area provided to clients, instructing solicitors, and authorised contacts for the purpose of sharing documents, tracking matter progress, receiving notifications, and communicating practical information relating to your legal matter.
The Portal is not a channel for giving formal legal instructions, seeking urgent advice, or transmitting time-critical material unless otherwise agreed. Instructions must continue to be given in writing in the usual way. If a matter is urgent, contact us by telephone.
Portal access is invitation-only. We do not charge you a fee for access to and/or use of the Portal. You will receive login credentials (email address and a password you set) when we grant you access to a specific matter. You are responsible for:

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if we reasonably believe your account has been compromised, if your matter has concluded, or if you have breached these Terms.
You agree to use the Portal only for lawful purposes directly related to your legal matter. You must not:

You may upload documents for the purpose of your legal matter. Accepted file types include PDF, DOCX, XLSX, JPG, PNG, and MSG/EML (email files). The maximum individual file size is 200 MB. The Portal displays progress and confirms successful upload.
You are responsible for ensuring that any documents you upload do not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party, and that you have authority to disclose their contents to us.
All content, design, code, and functionality of the Portal (excluding documents you upload and our communications with you about your matter) are the intellectual property of Kelly McIntyre, Barrister, or our licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Portal solely for the purposes described in these Terms. Documents you upload remain your property (or that of the original rights holder) and are used by us only for the purposes of your matter.
Your use of the Portal is subject to our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Communications and documents on the Portal that are for the dominant purpose of legal advice or actual or anticipated litigation are subject to legal professional privilege. The use of this site, the firm portal or practice management system does not waive legal professional privilege in any respect.
We will use reasonable efforts to keep the Portal available, but we do not guarantee continuous or uninterrupted access. The Portal may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, updates, third-party service outages (including our hosting and integration providers), or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We will endeavour to provide notice of planned maintenance where practicable.

Upon termination, your right to access the Portal ceases immediately. We retain your matter data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and professional record-keeping obligations.
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time to reflect changes in the Portal, our practice, or applicable law. Material changes that affect your rights will be notified via the Portal or by email, and the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised. Your continued use of the Portal after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland and the Federal Court of Australia. Nothing in this clause prevents you from applying to a tribunal or regulator with specific statutory jurisdiction (for example, the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal or the OAIC).
